CE-ABLE stands for Committee of European Accredited Bodies and Laboratories in Electrotechnics.
CE-ABLE was founded as a spin-off of BEMCO (Belgian EMC Organisation). BEMCO was a forum accessible for everybody involved with EMC while ABLE was originally founded as a group of exclusively accredited laboratories and bodies (notified and competent bodies), manufacturers of test equipment and industrial users, focusing on the scope: EMC, Radio, and Product Safety. CE-ABLE is an association without profit according to Belgian law and is a division of FEE (the Federation of Electricity and Electronics).
